News for December, 1999! 

12/30/99 -- In reflection on the past year I wish to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation for the many gifts received from my teachers and students. Their support and friendship mean more than any skill or recognition I could ever acquire.  In return, I give to them my hopes that their efforts to learn the martial arts never cease, regardless of what and with whom they study.  May the next year bring us all the rewards and gratification we deserve.  Thank you all again for sharing your precious gifts with me.  

As an added gift I am posting a story I first read many years ago in Black Belt magazine that impressed me with its simplicity and message.
